Chief Executive Officer
Steve Palmer, CEO and founder, is a proven veteran of the marine industry with over 37 years of management experience in marine engineering and operations. Steve is a retired naval engineering officer (two Chief Engineer tours and a former PACFLT Propulsion Examining Board member), Navy Master Training Specialist, former Navy Region Southwest Marine Maintenance Manager, holds a Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Private Security Services Compliance Agent license, and is licensed Virginia Property & Casualty Producer.
Stephen Palmer, Anchor Boatworks service manager, has grown up on the water and has 9 years of working professionally in the marine industry. He holds many skills including but not limited to, a masters Captains License as well as certifications in Yamaha and Westerbeke. Stephen is currently continuing his education to receive a degree in mechanical and marine engineering. Even when Stephen's not working in our shop, he continues to work on his personal boat with passion and dedication for the love of boats and the water.
Chris Powell, Anchor's President, brings over 20 years of US Navy tactical flight operations, maintenance, and leadership experience as a Navy FA-18 pilot and squadron Commanding Officer. Chris wrote the Navy's Antiterrorism Concept of Operations, developed the Navy's Antiterrorism Warfare Improvement Program Processes and Harbor Patrol Unit Standard Operating Procedures, and wrote the Navy's Port Management Guide. He has significant expertise in TACAIR community issues, and with a MS in Space Systems and MBA, provides a strong analytical and technical background.
